Supported Consent Management Platforms (CMPs)
All CMPs that properly support the Google Consent Mode, are compatible with our platform. The Pixel Manager listens to the consent mode updates sent through the CMP to Google and blocks or unblocks the tracking scripts accordingly.
Many CMPs are certified by Google (certified CMPs). For the certification it is a requirement for the CMP to seamlessly support the Google Consent Mode.
However, we noticed that some of the certified CMPs are listed as certified, but don't actually support the Google Consent Mode updates the way they should.
For you this means that you probably can use any CMP that is certified by Google. But we recommend at least testing the CMP with the Pixel Manager before you start using it in production and if possible use one of the CMPs that we have tested and listed below.

* Update on save: The CMP provides an API that allows us to activate all scripts the moment the visitor accepts cookies. That is not possible with all CMPs. This matters when a visitor only visits one page and accepts the cookies. Then we will be able to measure that single page visit. CMPs that don't provide such an API don't allow to measure the first page visit.

**** Complianz Cookie is only supported if category-based consent is enabled (which is the default). Vendor-based consent is not supported.
***** Usercentrics is not supported because it is buggy. Everything explained in this support ticket.
The PMW score
The PMW score is a score that we assign to each CMP based on a number of criteria that we listed in our blog post A 2024 Ranking of Top Cookie Banner (Consent Management Platform) Solutions.
Our ranking is based mostly on how well a CMP technically works and how well it sets and follows standards. We don't evaluate the look and feel of the CMPs, their pricing, or their support.
